Admission Requirements to Study in Sweden

Sweden student visa requirements
- Application form: Fully completed and signed. The application form can be filled out online through the Swedish Migration Agency’s website.
- Passport: Valid for at least six months beyond your planned stay in Sweden.).
- Two passport-sized photos: Recent and following the official guidelines on size and quality.
- Letter of Acceptance: An official letter from the Swedish University where you have been admitted for study. It must be a full-time course.
- Proof of financial means: You need to demonstrate that you can support yourself financially during your time in Sweden. The current amount required is SEK 8,568 per month for the planned duration of stay. This can be shown with a bank statement or a document that shows that you’ve received a scholarship, grant, or similar.
- Health Insurance: If your study duration is less than a year, you’ll need proof of health insurance coverage.
- Evidence of Accommodation: A document that shows where you will live in Sweden (like a lease contract).
- Payment of Application Fee: Receipt of the visa application fee payment, As of 2024, the application fee is SEK 1,500.
- Previous Educational Records: Certificates and transcripts from previously attended institutions.
- Proof of English Proficiency: This may be required depending on the course and institution. Usual proof includes tests like TOEFL or IELTS.
